Experience the magic of live art at the Portugalo Fest 2024. We're thrilled to announce the first ever Portugalo Fest Live Painting Contest in collaboration with Jennifer Morley from Kaleidoscope Arts Studio and generously sponsored by LiUNA Local 183.

About the Event
Ten talented contestants will compete live in a thrilling painting showdown which will be held in three rounds:
- Round 1: 10 contestants
- Round 2: 6 contestants
- Final Round: 3 contestants
The competition will take place live during Portugalo Fest on Saturday, September 7, 2024, and the advanced selection of 10 contestants will be showcasing their creativity and artistic skills which will be inspired by the beautiful country and culture of Portugal. All paintings are to reflect what comes to mind when they this of this European country.

Grand Prize
The winner of the contest will receive a Multisensory Mindfulness Art Kit, which includes:
- A 3-compartment art tray
- Water cup
- Burnt Sienna & Ultramarine Blue watercolour concentrates
- #2 detail & #5 round brushes
- Black Ink & Gold Gel pens
- 10 9x12 sheets of 140 lb cold press watercolour paper
- Lightweight painters’ tape
- White 11x14 waterproof coroplast board

Contest Details and Rules
To participate, please complete the application form.
- Residency: Must be a resident of Mississauga and provide proof.
- Age: 18 to 70 years old.
- Availability: Must be available on the event date.
- Art Supplies: Each artist will be provided with one canvas, paint, 2 brushes, and a palette.
- Artwork Criteria: Contestants have 30 minutes to paint a person, place, or thing that represents Portugal.
- Judging: Audience applause will determine the winners of the first two rounds. A panel of judges will decide the final round winner.
